How to report copyright infringement on shared lessons and other content.
Last updated: March 26, 2026
Respect for intellectual property
Lesso respects copyright and expects teachers to upload and share only content they have the right to use. Teachers retain ownership of their lessons subject to our Terms of Service.
Shared and Explore content
When teachers publish lessons or share them on Explore, other users may view or copy them according to product settings. If you believe content infringes your copyright, follow the notice procedure below.
Copyright infringement notice
Send a notice to copyright@lesso.me with the information below. We may forward your notice to the user who posted the material.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material on Lesso that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (URL, lesson title, teacher name if known).
- Your contact information (address, telephone, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Counter-notification
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may send a counter-notification to the same address with information required by applicable law. We may restore content unless the complainant initiates legal proceedings.
Repeat infringers
We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
Other IP claims
For trademark or other intellectual property concerns, contact us with the same level of detail. We are not a court and cannot adjudicate complex disputes.
