Credits Policy

What are Lesso coins?

Lesso uses in-app credits called "Lesso coins" (or "credits") to meter AI-powered features. Credits are not money, securities, or cryptocurrency. They have no cash value except as described in our Refund Policy for unused purchased credits.

Welcome credits

New teacher accounts receive a one-time welcome bonus of 300 Lesso coins after registration, subject to our anti-abuse controls. Welcome credits are not transferable and may not be granted to duplicate or fraudulent accounts.

When credits are consumed

Credits are consumed when you use AI-powered features, including but not limited to:

• Generating or regenerating lesson blocks (text, vocabulary, grammar, tasks, and similar content).
• Generating images and board-game visuals.
• Generating listening audio and related media.
• Starting live AI conversation sessions with students (charged to the lesson owner per session).
• Copying certain shared lessons into your library from Explore (where applicable).

Custom uploads (documents, images, or audio you provide) and manual blocks typically do not consume generation credits. The product displays estimated costs before you confirm generation.

Purchasing credits

Additional credits may be purchased in packages through Stripe checkout. Prices and package sizes are shown on our Pricing page and in the admin credits screen. Promotional codes may modify price or grant bonus credits according to their terms.

Do credits expire?

Purchased and promotional credits currently do not expire while your account remains active, unless we state otherwise at the time of purchase or in a promotion's terms. We may introduce expiry or inactivity rules in the future with reasonable notice.

Refunds

Purchased credits are generally non-refundable once used. See our Refund Policy for details on unused purchases and billing errors.

Failed or partial generation

When you start AI generation, the estimated credit cost is deducted from your balance. If generation fails due to a technical error on our side, contact support with your lesson and job details—we may restore credits at our discretion after investigation.

If generation fails because of insufficient credits, invalid prompts, content policy blocks, or third-party AI outages, credits may not be restored. Regenerating a block usually costs less than the initial generation.

Referrals and Explore rewards

You may earn bonus credits when referred teachers meet program requirements or when other teachers save your Explore-shared lessons to their library, as described in-product.

Abuse

We may adjust, revoke, or freeze credits obtained through fraud, chargebacks, automated abuse, or violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.
